I received an email from Danielle last year, after she found me on google, end of summer sometime, interested in me shooting her wedding. I sent her some of my info and rates details, and she got back to me right away and we arranged a meeting. I first met her and her mom in person at Starbucks…we sat down, talked about all things wedding, how I worked, and looked through some of my work…she booked me immediately, on the spot. We hit it off right away, and I am so glad Danielle chose me to document her precious memories. Some of you who follow my blog may remember their engagement session, back in October…you can view it here.

I would have to say that this wedding had the most mix in weather that I have had yet at a wedding! As a wedding photographer, you basically have to be prepared for any type of weather…well, we got it straight across the board that day! It was quite the adventure! And quite the beautiful wedding! We got sunshine, sprinkles of rain, LOTS of clouds, some more rain, wind, some heavy wind (enough to blow our umbrellas backward to expose the skeleton of them), and a complete downpour! It was lots of fun And we had an incredibly in love, cute bride and groom. Just beautiful.

The wedding took place at the Chilliwack Golf and Country Club.

Here are a few shots from the day.

She wore her grandmother’s pearls. I love that. Soo gorgeous!

I am so excited about this shoot. It is something that I have been wanting to do for quite a long time now. Rock the Frock shoots can also be known as “Trash the Dress”…it is basically a session for the bride to have fun in her gorgeous, expensive gown that she otherwise would have only gotten to wear once. It is also I super fun, relaxed shoot, where we can achieve some beautiful, creative shots of you that you may or may not have had time on your wedding day itself. Definitely something to consider!

Chelle was my winner for the RocktheFrock contest I held. I just loved her look and her dress..

Suzie + Adam [Winter Wedding] | Chilliwack Wedding Photographer

I am so excited to finally do the full post of Suzie and Adam’s beautiful wedding.

Let’s start with her gorgeous gown (I always like starting with the gown, hehe)…I’ve noticed a trend with wedding gowns right now, lace is really in, and I just love it…I think lace has a timeless look, so pretty.

And her shoes….and camouflage garder, hehe…such a cute idea..

The bridesmaids’ bouquet. They actually made these bouquets themselves, and they did such a fantastic job on them, they are so gorgeous!

And Suzie’s bouquet…I love the little jewel cross in it..

The church. Such a cold day, but so worth it…such an incredible day!

After the ceremony and family photos, we ventured up to Cultus Lake.

Suzie had a few coat breaks (it was just sooo cold)…but the jacket went very nicely with her gown

After the Cultus shoot, the Bride and Groom and I then went to downtown Chilliwack for some more couples shots…and because of the winter season, it got dark early…so we got some fun shots in the dark

I love this first shot…I think it has a sort of 1940’s feel to it…

Well, this concludes my weddings for this season…and what a great time I had! We couldn’t have asked for better weather, the sun was shining, and it was definitely not too hot! In fact, I think I was still used to the summer weddings, and wore my sandals (which I definitely regretted throughout the day- my feet were definitely cold! haha)
The wedding was held at Yarrow Community Hall, with the ceremony outside on the lawn. We made our way up to Cultus Lake for some romantic shots of the Bride + Groom, after getting a few shots with the wedding party and the family.
During the reception I chatted it up from time to time with the husband + wife team behind On The Rocks bartending services, Dawn & Kevin Peters [ontherocksbartending@shaw.ca]. I highly recommend them for your wedding or any event you have coming up- they did an awesome job!

Ok, ok–enough talking!! hehe…here are some of my faves from the wedding!

So my plan was to have the teaser post for this lovely couple’s wedding up a few days ago….but I’ve had a crazy week so it didn’t end up happening. However, here it is!!
